DiscStudio 6.6.1

Creator review build

6.6.0 · Type any plastic

  • Plastic is a free-text box: whatever you type is kept and printed on the card.
  • Suggestions now cover all 42 catalog manufacturers (318 plastics), taken from each manufacturer’s plastics page or product listings where available, otherwise a retailer.

6.5.8 · Approved output fits a phone

  • After Add to Export, the approved queue snapshot line wraps inside its section, so Today’s Bag stays the width of the screen. On a 430 px phone the page previously widened past 520 px.

6.5.7 · Re-crop your photo

  • Re-crop a prepared photo before saving, or a saved disc later. Your retained photo and placed edge reopen together; Cancel preserves the current photo.
  • Photo intake implementation advances to 0.5.0. Contracts remain 0.1.0; fitting and refinement behavior are unchanged.

6.5.6 · Default dot refinement

  • Adjust the dots, then hit OK. Ellipse adjustment is ready by default, with the last placed dot held aligned while another moves.
  • Undo and Fit view remain available. Original view and precise controls are available in the disclosure; stamp rotation remains independent.
  • RimFit and Crop refinement and rotation implementation versions are 0.5.0. Contracts remain 0.1.0; Stage and Demo versions remain 0.0.0. This provisionally accepted refinement does not claim 1.0 readiness.

6.5.5 · One-tap photo fit

  • The best available edge suggestion is selected as the photo opens. Tap Use photo once to accept it; Adjust edge opens optional corrections.
  • Servo shows the pinned teal rim samples with its MAYBE proposal. If rim fitting abstains, the safe CircleFit suggestion stays immediately usable without teal dots. Use photo remains your explicit acceptance.
  • Adjusting the edge clears samples that no longer match. Stamp rotation remains independent.
  • Crop refinement and rotation advances to implementation 0.1.3 under its unchanged 0.1.0 contract. Stages and Demo remain at 0.0.0; this patch does not claim 1.0 readiness.

6.5.4 · Teal Servo rim review

  • Try ellipse fit now refines a RimFit MAYBE against paired face, pale-rim, and background evidence from the exact full-source photo. The preview shows the refined contour and only the teal source-pixel samples that contributed to its geometry.
  • Every ellipse and refinement remains MAYBE until you choose Use photo. If refinement abstains, the original MAYBE geometry stays available and no teal samples are drawn. Use circle fit still returns to the CircleFit/manual path; CircleFit remains the default.
  • Ellipse edits hide the sampled points because they no longer describe the edited contour. Stamp rotation stays independent. The Servo dots were pinned as a near-good visual reference for this photo; they are not pixel-exact labels or evidence of general automatic acceptance.
  • RimFit implementation advances to 0.1.3 under the unchanged 0.1.0 contract. Stage and Demo versions remain 0.0.0; no 1.0 readiness claim is made.

Historical ellipse-fit candidate · 6.5.3

This section records the earlier local creator-review candidate; 6.5.4 is the current release above. CircleFit remains the default; “Try ellipse fit” is opt-in and supplies a MAYBE proposal for creator review. Invalid or abstained ellipse fits disable Use photo until the creator explicitly restores the circle fit. No 1.0 readiness or release decision is recorded.

  • Review and adjust ellipse center, major/minor radii, and axis angle before Use photo. Stamp rotation stays independent.
  • Prepared ellipse photos retain source geometry for same-Disc correction after reload. Existing circle refit archives remain readable, and choosing circle correction deliberately converts the retained metadata to v1.
  • Feature implementation progress: Crop refinement and rotation, RimFit, and Prepared image creation advance to 0.1.2; Mold and plastic details advances to 0.1.3. All contracts remain 0.1.0; Stages and Demo remain 0.0.0.
  • In the eight-photo full-source/384 set, 1/8 trials produced an editable MAYBE proposal; 7/8 abstained. The 720 working-raster set abstained 8/8. CircleFit/manual placement remain available; the sample does not establish general automatic-fit acceptance.
  • During fit editing, the preview shows the source photo and ellipse overlay; the circularized crop output appears after Use photo rather than live beside the controls.
  • The mold field keeps an existing selection when it receives focus. The 6.5.3 candidate preceded the 6.5.4 release.

Historical implementation checkpoint · 6.5.3

At 6.5.3, four bounded implementation additions were recorded under unchanged contracts: Crop refinement and rotation 0.1.2, RimFit 0.1.2, Prepared image creation 0.1.2, and Mold and plastic details 0.1.3. The current RimFit patch is recorded in 6.5.4 above. The latest per-Feature versions are listed below; release readiness remains separate.

Current creator and shelf refinement · 2026-10-01

Mold and plastic details and Card rendering advance to implementation 0.1.2 under their unchanged 0.1.0 contracts. New drafts no longer collect weight, the shelf no longer repeats weight or nickname, and card artwork omits stored legacy weight. Saved Disc fields remain readable. This creator-review build records implementation progress; no 1.0 readiness decision is made.

Feature implementation progress · 2026-10-01

All 18 Feature contracts are 0.1.0. Seventeen implemented Features are 0.1.1; Preview is 0.1.2 after a second, distinct scene-framing addition. The three Stages and Demo remain 0.0.0. Historical build 6.5.2 is a separate track. This is an unreleased local composition, not a release-readiness decision.

Unreleased scene-framing candidate · historical 6.5.2

Local review changes only; no 1.0 readiness or release decision is recorded.

  • Choose the visible scene region with image adjustment, focus, and zoom controls. Portrait and landscape keep their own framing.
  • Canvas, Test background in review, and combined PNG use the same scene framing. Approved transparent PNGs and ZIPs stay independent of scene edits.
  • Returning to Upload restores its framing; new images reset it. Failed, canceled, and superseded uploads preserve the current scene.

Unreleased candidate · historical 6.5.2

These local changes are under review and have not been released. No 1.0 readiness decision is recorded.

  • Saved photos keep surrounding source pixels for re-fitting after returning to Today’s Bag. Fit now supports live rotation and prepares the accepted diameter.
  • Sample details stay provisional until Use photo; selected flight values appear immediately, and every plastic guide offers Unknown / not listed.
  • Landscape layouts remain B01–B05. Chosen highlight colors stay unchanged, with a warning for hard-to-read accented text and details.
  • Preview accepts a scene image directly at the Canvas; approved transparent stickers stay independent of it.
  • Each approval has an individual PNG action and a matching ZIP entry. After removing a card, review and approve the remaining collection without adding duplicates.

6.5.3

  • Try ellipse fit remains opt-in alongside the unchanged CircleFit default. Bounded proposals require creator review, invalid geometry disables Use photo, and source refit metadata remains editable after reload.
  • The ellipse editor overlays the source geometry; the circularized output appears after Apply, not while adjusting.
  • The mold selection stays visible when its field receives focus.

6.5.2

  • New cards open at the former 66% size, now labeled 100%. Card size, saved setups, approval, and exports use the same actual placement.

6.5.1

  • CircleFit trims large disc proposals inward so sample photos like Anchor crop clear of the photographed background.

6.5.0

  • Card Details now controls side, highlight target, and highlight color for every vertical and horizontal card layout.
  • Each approved card keeps its exact appearance in preview, saved setup, review, transparent PNG, ZIP, and combined export. Earlier U01 approvals remain readable.
  • U03 keeps its disc-front and disc-behind comparison while the side control handles mirroring.
  • Try Buzzz SS, Servo, or Anchor from the sample row: each photo starts with its pictured catalog mold selected and opens the normal rim-fitting step.

6.4.5

  • The canvas uses an example scene composed for its selected 9:16 or 16:9 orientation, with a frame sized to the artwork.
  • Uploaded backgrounds keep their proportions with a centered cover crop in both placement preview and combined PNG.
  • The canvas label shows its orientation and exact frame dimensions.

6.4.4

  • U1, U2, and U5 read top to bottom: mold name, flight numbers, then Manufacturer · Plastic. Optional plastic disappears cleanly when unspecified.
  • U2 extends its dark panel behind the full information stack, and U5 brightens its number tiles.
  • Release notes now keep older versions below the newest entry.

6.4.3

  • U4 gives the manufacturer about half the mold name’s text height. Its dark fade reaches full strength 2 px above that label.

6.4.2

  • Export a tightly sized transparent card sticker from the layout you approve with Add to Export. The PNG and ZIP use the same pixels shown in the card preview.
  • Card size shows the resulting pixel dimensions. Backgrounds stay in the preview unless you choose Export combined PNG.
  • U3 mirroring remains an explicit layout choice; dragging the card does not change it.
